What is Thao Khokhlan?
Thao KhokhlanMallotus repandusis a climbing woody vine native to Southeast Asia. The plant has rough, hairy stems and small, spiky fruits. In Thai folk medicine, the stem(“Thao” in Thai)and roots are used the most, but sometimes leaves and fruit are also used.
Benefits of Thao Khokhlan
Relieves Muscle/Join Pain: The stem is traditionally pounded and used as a poultice for muscle aches, joint pain, sprains, and injuries.
Reduce Swelling/Anti-inflammatory: Folk medicine uses it to reduce swelling and inflammation, both applied externally and sometimes as a decoction.
